Itinerary

Day 1

Transported in to the park from the airport.

Evening campfire

Day 2

Head to Sally's Cove for breakfast ocean front., and pack up all gear before we begin our journey into the back country of Gros Morne National Park.

Board the boat West Brook 3, and travel up beautiful Western Brook Pond Fjord

Camp on the edge of the pond in the evening viewing beautiful waterfalls and watching bald eagles soar above.

Evening campfire, dinner provided.

Day 3

Today we begin our journey up the fjord

It is a very strenuous hike up the fjord, but the view from the top is spectacular.

Head across the Long Range to spend our second night at Little Island Pond.

Moose are frequent in this area.

Day 4

Head across the long range viewing moose and black bear.

Travel to Hardings Pond for our third night.

Stunning views

Day 5

Cross over middle barrens while watching ptarmigan and grouse on the wind swept plateau.

Caribou gather together on huge rocks deposited by glacier to keep the bugs away in the cool evening breeze.

Camp at beautiful Green Island Pond for our last night on the Long Range Plateau.

Day 6

Begin our journey to gros morne mountain, spectacular views of Ten Mile Pond gulch and ferry gulch embraces us on the journeys end.

Hike down from the plateau through Ferry Gulch, enjoying the views of Bonne Bay and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Hike to the parking lot where we are transported to a warm cozy cabin, and hot shower and a good home cooked meal.

Day 7

Today we explore the south end of Gros Morne, the Tablelands and beautiful Green Gardens, weather dependent.

Enjoy sea-stacks, sea-caves and coastal hike of the sea-shore.

Day 8

Today our journey ends and our time has come to a close.

Leave behind the park and friends you have made and head to Deer Lake to begin your travels home.

This trip you will never forget, and will be in your memories and photo albums forever.
