Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival to Deer Lake and transported to Gros Morne National Park. Once in Gros Morne we will have a welcome dinner and orientation about our trip.

Day 2

Begin our morning around 7:00am with a delicious breakfast of lots of local jams and produce. After Breakfast travel to Western Brook Fjord to begin out hike up the North Rim of the Fjord. Once on Top we will begin our journey along the top of the fjord walls and head to woody Pond Campsite.

Day 3

The next couple days will be barren plateau’s and lush green valleys. Moose, black bear, and woodland caribou are often seen. Gros Morne Mountain can be seen today in the distance.

Day 4

Today we arrive at the back of the fjord, this is the famous view seen all over the world. At the Back of the Fjord we take a dinner break and head on to the next campsite.

Day 5

Today we are in great Black Bear Country. Large meadows and marsh lands are great berry picking areas for these black bears and are usually seen eating the wide variety of wild berries we have here.

Day 6

Today we begin our journey over middle barrens; this area is home to the Woodland Caribou, Arctic Hare and Ptarmigan. There will be several sightings through out the day.

Day 7

Large erratic rocks sparse the open plateau’s and barren tops as caribou stand on every rock to get in the summer winds to keep the pest at bay. Today we will hike to Ferry Gulch at the base of Gros Morne Mountain. In the evening we will hike to the top of Gros Morne Mountain at sunset.

Day 8

The last day in the mountains we pack up while and enjoy the sounds of nature around us. Once completed our journey, we will head to accommodations and a traditional Newfoundland Jiggs Dinner will be prepared right in front of you. Enjoy Oceanside dining at evenings end.
