Itinerary

Day 1

- Arrive at Deer Lake
- Transported to your accommodation in Gros Morne National Park
- Orientation, meet and greet

Day 2

- Begin the morning with a healthy breakfast of homemade muffins and breads.
- Travel to the beautiful town of Woody Point
- Visit the Discovery Centre and begin our hike of the Big Look Out.
- Return to the parking lot and travel to the tablelands for our wholesome homemade lunch.
- Then we begin our travels to the beautiful Green Gardens for an afternoon hike.
- View stunning sea stacks and explore sea caves that pepper the mountainous landscape that plummets into the sea.
- Upon return, travel to the picturisic Town of Trout River and eat Dinner at the beautiful Sea-side Restaurant.
- Travel Back to Accommodations

Day 3

- Today we will to Travel to beautiful Bakers Brook Falls, one of the most stunning waterfalls in Gros Morne National Park.
- Upon return we will eat lunch
- Head north again to the old resettled fishing village of Green Point. Rocks tell time at beautiful green point under laying some great stories in the earth’s history and evidence to the theory of continental drift and plate tectonics.
- Complete a hike along the seashore to the resettled fishing village of Bakers Brook. Also complete a hike and visit the lighthouse at Lobster Cove Head.
- Travel Back to Accommodations
- Feel Free to visit a few of our great local restaurants in Rocky Harbour.

Day 4

- Today head north again to the beautiful the world renowned Western Brook Fjord standing straight up at 700m into the sky and extending inland 16km. There will the option to complete a beautiful boat tour up the fjord or choose to complete a hike to a beautiful secluded area called Snug Harbour, hidden in the mouth of the fjord.
- In the evening you also have an option of an afternoon sea-kayak or an evening hike at beautiful shallow bay.
- For those whom choose to paddle you will experience harbour seals playing with the sea- kayaks rudder and will get a chance to see caribou along the saltwater marshlands.
- Return to your accommodations for an evening feast prepared at the beautiful anchor down bed and breakfast. Relax and enjoy the evening of traditional music, a fire, and a feast of sea food prepared right in front of you. A Newfoundland Kitchen Party, except in an outside kitchen.

Day 5

- Today for those whom wish to pursue, we hike to the top of Gros Morne Mountain. If you are undecided about the hiking Gros Morne Mountain, please let us know to arrange other activities for you.
- Gros Morne Mountain rises 805m above sea –level, and offer spectacular views of glacial carved valleys and barren alpine plateau’s.
- The hike takes about 6-8 hours to complete.
- Eat Lunch at the summit.
- The mountain is famous for wildlife spotting, moose and bears frequent the mountainside and woodland caribou are often seen upon top of the plateau.

  • - If you choose not to do the mountain. Hike of Berry Hill, Visit the town of Norris Point and the marine interpretation.

Day 6

- Today we begin our travels north to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of L’anse Aux Meadows.
- We will stop completing a few short hikes as we drive up the scenic northern peninsula.
- Watch for caribou and moose along the way
- In the evening we will arrive at the Viking settlement at L’anse Aux Meadows.
- In the late afternoon travel to norstead, a Viking port of trade and watch reinactments of a once past era.
- In the evening enjoy a beautiful meal at the beautiful Norseman Restaurant. Rated as one of Canada’s top 100.
- After Dinner we will be checking in at the beautiful Valhalla Lodge.

Day 7

- In the morning, enjoy a beautiful ocean front view at breakfast watching iceberg and whales in the near distance.
- After Breakfast we then begin our travel to the beautiful Town of St. Anthony.
- There will be a choice to complete a scenic boat tour of St. Anthony viewing whales and icebergs or choose to hike the coastal trails watching the scenery from the land, and view the beautiful town of Great Brehat.
- In the Evening Begin our Journey back to Gros Morne National Park, stopping at Port Aux Choix, a National Historic Site, and complete and Evening Hike a Phillips Garden. A Dorset Eskimo Village that once was, in this rugged land.
- Arrive back into Gros Morne National Park in the late evening for a beautiful dinner waiting for you after along day touring.

Day 8

- Today we begin our journey to the beautiful Labrador. From southern shores of Labrador we travel to the town of Red Bay which once was a Basque Whaling Station. Once we are done here we will travel to Battle Harbour.

Day 9

- We begin our journey back to the island of Newfoundland not before visiting the biggest lighthouse in Atlantic Canada. Today we will travel back to Gros Morne National Park.
